Josef Sudek (1896-1976), his Professional Career and his Artist Friends

Hana Buddeus is researcher at the Department of Art of the 19th-21st Centuries and member of Photography Research Centre at the Institute of Art History of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Her publications include Zobrazení bez reprodukce? Fotografie a performance v českém umění 70. let 20. století [Representation without Reproduction? Photography and Performance in 1970s Czech Art] (2017) and two edited volumes resulting from the Sudek Project: Sudek and Sculpture (2020) and Instant Presence: Representing Art in Photography (with Vojtěch Lahoda and Katarína Mašterová, 2017). She is also active in the field of contemporary art, and sits on the editorial board of Fotograf magazine.
