Visual Bureaucracies - How to Deal with Dealers' Photographs?

Julia Bärnighausen M.A. is a doctoral candidate at Humboldt University in Berlin. For her dissertation project she receives a scholarship from the Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst and a Library Research Grant from the Getty Research Institute. She studied art history and history in Berlin and London. Former places of work include the Alfred Ehrhardt Foundation in Berlin and the collaboration project Photo Objects at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz. Lately, she has also been conducting research into the historical image collections of the Natural History Museum in Berlin. Research interests include photo-archives, art dealing around 1900, and the history of the humanities and sciences.
